Vertex Blend 619

Vertex Blend 619 wine bottle

A vertical in a glass!

Napa, Sonoma and Lake County
Non Vintage Solera Style 2007-12

Gabrielle searched for a personal daily wine to enjoy by the glass or with meals that was approachable in taste & price- yet intriguingly satisfying. She could not find it, so she made it! Multiple blind tasting by a panel of fellow wine lovers put Vertex in first place over other wines every time-it has become a favorite of many ever since.

Vertex signifies various elements merging to a single point, as do the varietals Gabrielle blended. The artistic brush strokes merging to a single point on the logo captures that symbolically. She was inspired by classic Meritage wines but reached back in history when Bordeaux wines included Syrah. THAT was the secret- Cabernet‘s structure & and with Syrah’s fruitiness create a supple, lively wine that evolves in the glass.

A Cabernet Sauvignon Blend: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Syrah

The Wine

It is standard practice to save a few barrels of past vintages to blend into current vintages to offer complexity. Barrels from the 2007- 2012 vintages were blended to create this charming non vintage.

Tasting Notes

Enjoy aromas of black fruits with flavors of wild blackberry, an earthy dustiness and dark chocolate. A stylish, sippable wine.

The wine contains fruit from the O’Connell Family Estate Vineyard, which won Double Gold for their 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon, other Napa Valley as well as Lake County Vineyards.

Food Pairing

Pasta with red sauces, traditional and not so traditional pizza; ribs, pork roast, hearty beef stews, pork belly, tamales, grilled vegetables.
