Pietro Family Cellars
Tusca 2015

A century of wine tradition in every glass
PIETRO FAMILY CELLARS history began with grandfather Pietro, an immigrant from Calabria Italy. Grandson, Wayne O’Connell, Vintner, wanted to produce a new world Italian blend poplar in modern day Italy. We proudly release the first vintage of Tusca.
Varietal
33% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot and 56% Sangiovese
The Wine
The long awaited inaugural release of Tusca in the 2015 vintage was highlighted by the small yield of this vintage, which highly concentrated flavors to make spectacular wines.
Tasting Notes
A classic red Italian blend with rich red berry flavors of cranberry, and plush black fruits.
Vineyards
The Sangiovese was grown in Pope Valley- a region within Napa Valley with hot daytime temperatures and cool nights in the 50’s. This allowed the fruit to ripen to rich flavors while maintaining great acidity resulting in wonderful balance- an ideal combination. The Cabernet Sauvignon was grown at the certified organic O’Connell Family Vineyards in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley and the Merlot on My Veeder.
