82% Sauvignon Blanc 18% Semillon
Harvested in late August 2014, the fruit was allowed to fully ripen to create our style of ripe white geraniums, roses and sweet thyme aromatics Sauvignon Blanc blended with 18% Semillon. The vintage year of 2014 had the perfect in number of heat days and dry warm harvest weather, which leads to stellar wines. The grapes at harvest were simply delicious that is heightened by pure stainless steel fermentation to preserve clean, crisp finish notes. Tremendously clean. Great summer style refreshingly distinctive. Palate- mouth water quality, rich lime peel citrus.
The aromatics leap from the glass with notes of ripe pear, white peaches and lemon zest. The flavors echo the aromas with a deep texture.
The Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon grapes were grown in Pope Valley at an elevation 715 feet on the Whisky River Ranch using sustainable farming practices. Hot daytime temperatures ripen the fruit to perfection and cool 55 degree nights maintain beautiful acidity.
Sip as an aperitif. Pair with ages goat cheese, sautéed scallops, roasted vegetable pizza, and a decadent 50% milk chocolate treat.
Stainless steel fermented, Sur Lees for 15 months, then held for 12 months in bottle.
