O’CONNELL FAMILY VINEYARDS
OAK KNOLL DISTRICT NAPA VALLEY
A Multi-vintage Style from 2005-2014
97 Robert Parker Wine Advocate Rating
Capture the True Essence of one of Napa Valley Oldest Vineyards in a Bottle
“Imagine tasting a vertical of OCFV in one glass! And that vertical captures the complete character of our vineyard, dating back to the early 1850s, proclaimed the best vineyard soil in California by the California Agricultural Society. ‘ Integration’ communicates our vision: It begins with a passion to preserve our heritage and express it by thoughtfully by coaxing elegant attributes from the soil and varietal. Terroir expressive barrels from each vintage, set aside for up to 11 years, are creatively blended in just the right proportion to integrate the vintage year, the character and the attributes into a single expression to capture the complete vineyard character over time, not just for a single year. A rare and beautiful wine that will linger in your heart, mind and soul with layers of aromatics and flavors that continue to develop and delight. “ -Gabrielle Leonhard O’Connell, Vintner
First established in 1850’s, this area of the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley was deemed the best vineyard land in California in 1856 by the California Agriculture Society. The vineyard was lost during the Prohibition era, then replanted in 2001 by O’Connell Family. These accolades were confirmed when the Inaugural 2007 vintage earned a Double Gold, and garnered successive gold medals thereafter. The certified organic vineyard expresses distinctive aromatic and taste attributes, creating estate Cabernets that authentically speak of their terroir- a cooler climate wine that grows in diverse soils from lean gravel/sand to rich loam, surrounded by a diverse Eco-system of flora, which supports overall vineyard health.
