Our approach to making Chardonnay is to respect the grape first and foremost. Our Chardonnay is produced in the classic French approach- only 30% of the wine touched new oak and underwent malolactic fermentation. The end result… a balance of structure and fruit with a touch of buttery flavors that that give the wine a smooth texture. A delicious food and sipping wine.
The aromas and flavors of lemon peel, apple, and tropical notes. It has a crisp structure with a round and juicy mouthfeel and elegant texture.
The Maldonado Vineyard is located in Jamieson Canyon in the Napa Valley Carneros region. This Appellation is located by San Pablo Bay and has distinctively cooler temperatures than all of Napa Valley, which allows for great acidity- the hallmark of a beautiful Chardonnay.
Shellfish, especially shrimp and crab, as well as classic salmon, halibut and sea bass dishes. Of course, herb roasted chicken, pork chops, a wide range of cheeses and olive oil roasted vegetables are perfectly paired. Great to just sip!
