A century of wine tradition in every glass

Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley 2017

100% Chardonnay

The Wine

Not too oaky, not too buttery. Just right to accent the grape. Produced with the classic French formula- only 30% maximum of the wine touches new oak, to give body. The end result… the oak does not dominate but is the structure within which the wine expresses its varietal characteristics and terroir. Natural malolactic fermentation provides a tough buttery flavors and makes the wine smooth and creamy. A delicious food and sipping wine.

Tasting Notes

The aromas and flavors of lemon peel, pineapple, leechy with tropical note. It has a crisp structure with a round and juicy mouthfeel with a creamy texture.

A luscious expression of the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley Appellation terroir: with temperatures cooler than upper Napa Valley, it gets the best of all attributes- enough heat to ripen the fruit to express lovely fruit and citrus flavors; cool enough to maintain acidity. The vineyard is a neighbor of the O’Connell Family Estate Vineyard and we consider this strip of land to produce some of the best Chardonnay fruit in Napa Valley.
