Pietro Family Cellars
Cabernet Sauvignon, North Coast 2011

A century of wine tradition in every glass
SOLD OUT
Pietro Family Cellars produces a classic Old World style Cabernet Sauvignon with firm structure that has roots in the terroir, made with minimal manipulation. Following the heritage that Pietro represents, our Cabernet Sauvignon is grown in the great soils of the classic, historic California Cabernet Sauvignon growing regions: Napa Valley, Lake County, Sonoma and Mendocino Country, resulting in a North Coast designation.
Varietal
89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Petit Verdot
Tasting Notes
Seductive dark berry aromas jump out of the glass, inviting a sip to explore layers of blackberry with beautiful minerality. The softened tannins make the wine very approachable and the Petite Verdot lends a fabulous deep garnet color.
Vineyards
The grapes are grown in on the O’Connell Family estate in Napa Valley and Lake County. Lake County is one of the oldest California wine growing areas (15 miles from Napa Valley) with vineyards of deep volcanic soils and elevations ranging from 1300-1700 feet resulting in great acidity and rich flavors.
Food Pairing
A great wine for everyday sipping and casual dinners- a juicy burger, grilled meats, roasted or BBQ chicken, ribs, grilled vegetables and pasta with marinara sauce.
