Pietro Family Cellars
Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley 2013
A century of wine tradition in every glass
A classic Old World style Napa Valley Cabernet in the style when Cabernets were all about terroir and a great food wine. Its moderate alcohol level allows the wine to show off its flavors, structure and acidity. It is a wine with a linear structure that clearly defines its presence.
PIETRO FAMILY CELLARS produces a classic Old World style Cabernet Sauvignon with firm structure that has roots in the terroir, made with minimal manipulation. Following the heritage that Pietro represents to our family, our Cabernet Sauvignon is grown in the great soils of Pope Valley in Napa Valley. The vintage year of 2013 had a fantastic growing season resulting in bold, fruity, wines.
A wine made to reflects the winemaking style of Grandfather Pietro as well as wines of Napa in the 80’s & 90’s- tightly structured and layered with fruit. Wild blackberry and earthy, with a touch of tobacco and leather. The tannins are well integrated, making the wine very approachable. A great food wine!
The Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot were grown at a 700 foot elevation in Pope Valley, Napa Valley. The Petit Verdot is from the O’Connell Family Estate Vineyard in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley Appellation.
A great wine for everyday sipping and casual dinners. Try with a juicy burger, grilled tri-tip, BBQ chicken, cassoulet and lasagna.
