A century of wine tradition in every glass
Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley 2016
Produced with the classic French formula- only 30% of the wine touches oak, to give body. Only 30% goes though malolactic fermentation- the process to provide the buttery flavors and makes the wine smooth and creamy. The end result… the oak does not dominate but is the structure within which the wine expresses its varietal characteristics and terroir. A delicious food and sipping wine.
The aromas and flavors of lemon peel, pineapple with tropical note. It has a crisp structure with a round and juicy mouthfeel with a creamy texture.
A luscious expression of the Oak Knoll District of Nap Valley Appellation terroir: with temperatures cooler than upper Napa Valley, it gets the best of all attributes- enough heat to ripen the fruit to express lovely fruit and citrus flavors; cool enough to maintain acidity. The vineyard is a neighbor of the O’Connell Family Estate Vineyard and we consider this strip of land to produce some of the best Chardonnays in Napa Valley.
